MASTER CLASS IN TRANSPERSONAL PSYCHOTHERAPY - PART 1

EMDR As A Transpersonal Therapy: A Cross Cultural Perspective Where East Meets West
March 4 & 5 and March 18 & 19, 2023

30 CEs (4.5 CEs are Non-Interactive) and 30 EMDRIA Credits
Computer and Internet Access is Required

Are you ready to transform your practice? This program is the first in a series of programs that teach an innovative approach of using double focus of attention from egoic to expanded awareness through intuitive mindful skills and resonance, introducing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a Transpersonal Therapy. This transpersonal approach enhances the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model within which EMDR is based. The relationship to an accelerated process of higher brain integration and awareness will be linked to skills of silent intuitive processes within an interconnected field of energy and informational flow between therapist and client within each phase of EMDR.

Current research and literature will explain the convergence of psychology, science, and spirituality. Literature about transpersonal psychology will be presented, along with transpersonal research studies that explored treatment outcomes of EMDR as a transpersonal therapy, and the impact of a transpersonal approach to psychotherapy. Energy based healing philosophy and technique as depicted in Eastern and native spiritual wisdom traditions will be taught along side of contemporary western transpersonal developmental theorists.

The role of EMDR therapy in awakening consciousness will be explored as we take the healing of trauma into the realms of a greater cosmic whole in the language of images, sensory experiences, and intuitive knowing. There will be a continuous and flowing process taking participants from the left brain didactic to the right brain experiential, creating an integrated and flowing experience from egoic to expanded awareness.

Case presentation and demonstration of the integration of a cross cultural transpersonal approach within the 8 stage EMDR protocol will be utilized. Applications to creating a safe place, resourcing, and emotional stabilization, within the AIP model, will be discussed.

Therapists will develop skills of mindful awareness as they learn to identify their own internal feedback mechanisms within which they can recognize resonance within a shared intersubjective field by utilizing alternative ways of intuitive knowing to determine resonance and intervention from an expanded and a grounded egoic perspective, participating in an interconnected flowing dance of information and energy exchange. You will identify intuitive feedback mechanisms and apply it within a nonlinear, moment to moment integrative therapy through lectures, case presentation, and experiential exercise. This program is highly experiential with the aide of audio recorded guided meditations and reading assignments for home use. You will develop new skills for your practice, allowing your clients to have the opportunity to process trauma from an expanded state within a shared interconnected field of information and energy flow.

Experiential exercise provides participants with initial internal tools to mindfully track the flow of energy and information, influencing consciousness, and accelerating the healing of trauma within an expanded range of awareness. Skills can easily be applied to hypnotherapy, energy psychology, and somatic processing therapies as well as EMDR therapy. This program teaches valuable skills that can be applied to any form of psychotherapy that allows for the client to process information in the silent spaces of the imagination within an experience of mindful awareness and expanded consciousness.

Break out rooms will be used for practice sessions broken into small groups of three, where only trained EMDR therapists will take the therapist role. The role of client, and of transpersonal observer who tracks energy and information within the shared field, can be held by any participant. Due to the length and depth of the program, this is an opportunity to go deep within, and experience the personal work of transformation.

Participants who have completed either the live 2 day program Applications of Mindful Resonance to EMDR, or the 4 week online distance learning program Applications of Mindful Awareness and Resonance to Psychotherapy, will find that this program will take their skills to a greater level and open them to the non-ordinary realms of conscious awareness. Participants who have completed other programs in meditation, mindful awareness, or energy based psychology will find this to be an essential adjunct to their current skill base, but is appropriate for any level of training in this area from beginner to experienced.

The ancient South American Native wisdom tradition of Incan knowledge will be introduced through lecture, meditation, and ceremony. The experience will be brought into EMDR processing for personal and professional growth. The program includes participation in an evening online gathering of meditation and ceremony, where intention is focused based in preparation from the EMDR practice sessions and class meditation.

This is a stand alone program which will prepare you for a more advanced experience in meditation and healing if you chose to continue your work on this path. We are entering a new paradigm as consciousness awakens, and we can incorporate tools of consciousness into our clinical work as you will learn in this program. I hope you will join me!

MORE TO COME...

Master Class in Transpersonal Psychotherapy Parts 2 and 3

Part 1 is an important introduction to the skills of transpersonal psychotherapy using internal skills of intuition and inner senses within a coherent field of energy and information flow.

Part 2 will be an intense meditation program called Awakening Your Light Body, as created by Duane Packer and Sanaya Roman. This is a six month program where we open centers within our energy field that are close to a soul level, awakening our multidimensional body of light called the Light Body by the ancient wisdom traditions. Following completion of the program, all therapists involved will receive 10 group sessions of transpersonal consultation in order to learn to integrate these tools into practice.

Part 3 will be a live retreat (COVID permitting) for all who have completed Parts 1 and 2 with Dr. Siegel, so that we can come together as community for support and to enhance our skills of Light Body and practices of native ancient wisdom traditions as we integrate into a new paradigm of healing and psychotherapy practice.
